So yesterday we took the kids to Mornington, to the beach. I had on my new size 8 bikini which fits fine. I had a massive gut thanks to impending Bitch Week and I was retaining enough water to extinguish a forest fire singlehandedly. WD confirmed I was not looking like 'normal' but was tactful and dismissive of the importance. That is only because to him, it doesn't matter a damn. He still has his six pack in every one's face. *men*

It took me ages to remove my sun dress and when I walked around and had to lean over to fill buckets of sand to make sand castles with the boys, all I could focus on was my gut rolls and whether the hail damage on my thighs was especially heinous or not. I had a good look at other woman and none of them had perfection nailed from head to toe. I was not offended by other girls having lumps or bumps. I didn't care about their dimpled thighs. A couple of the girls were very hot despite their imperfections, and I considered going to tune them up and see if I could score (hehehehe). None of this mattered inside. I still feel like I need to be perfect.

There were two woman who actually ran past, thighs and arses wobbling as they went. They were chatting and seemed content. I seethed with kermit. I would never contemplate running on sand in a bikini. Not unless it was at the hands of some sick "torture doctor" type dude, like in a Bond movie or something, and my actual life depended on it. I'd rather have little bamboo spikes shot under my nails or be forced to eat fecal matter or something less horrific (subject to carb levels of course).

Anyway. The point? Wearing a size 8 bikini - check. Wearing a size 8 cotton non-stretch sun dress - check. Being a continual lust-target for blokes - check. Feeling awesome the very day before - check.

None of it matters. Fat attacks happen to everyone. I couldn't wait to get home and when I did I pounced on the treadmill and laboured in the hot sun streaming through the window for 30 minutes. I finished up standing in a not that shallow puddle of sweat (mixed with some blood and tears too I'm sure). Today I feel ok, but still fat and heinously unattractive. I'm just being honest I don't want everyone to leave comments about how I'm not fat or whatever, because I know I have issues. I'm just venting on my blog, which is the point of it really. I am hoping it is menstrual hormones making me batshit crazy and everything goes back to normal in a few days. My psychologist is on holidays till January 31st, I cannot lose my mind until then.

It will be the astra replacement, plain and simple, the current european one is too expensive to import and holden struggles with price right now.
On a global basis there is no demand for the commodore so just like ford, building a small car locally is the best chance of survival longer term.
The viva will continue to come from korea, the next model will arrive next year.
Leave the torana alone, it was a piece of crap and ugy as well, the only reason it was famous was the drop in a 8 and go faster, big deal.

the only negative will be the ford badge.

The fiesta is one nice looking car, the best new release at the show, within it’s segment that is.
The badge issue is only a problem with enthusiasts which is a small percentage.

In the 80’s mercedes had a massive image problem in europe, all taxis were mercedes and the rest were mainlly driven by upmarket trades people, they’ve recovered ok, ford is in a similar position.

Why, why, why would Holden want to build a locally-made FWD hatch? Instead of wasting the $150M given to them by the tax payer, why don't they use the money to develop and build a diesel powered Commodore? By developing a more fuel-efficient version of their best-selling car surely they would be able to steal some sales from Ford and Toyota.
It also puzzles me why Holden would develop their own small hatch for the local market when they've got so many alternatives available from Europe (forget all that Daewoo-manufactured garbage).

It’s called spreading the risk, can’t focus all investments on the commodore who’s sales are on a continuous slide.
Holden has capacity and it sounds like a good idea to use it right ?
A small fwd car can be exported, there is no global market for the commodore.
Holden will not develop their own unique car, the’ll just be one of multiple factories producing the same car.
Daewoo will improve significantlly with the next generation of models, viva will run the same platform as the european build astra’s, but the daewoo’s are still intended to be the cheaper car so expect lower quality.

Holden should just not bother importing the cr@p Daewoo manufactured rubbish and just import the decent models available from europe.With the obvious changes done overhere to deal with the Australian environment.Deisel in a Commodore, now thats a good idea.

Sanjay Suri, for one, had produced My Brother Nikhil and was the co-producer of Sorry Bhai! He says, “Sorry Bhai! was completed in 34 days, My Brother in 28 days and Bas Ek Pal in 32 days. At times, it becomes difficult to finish a film with a huge starcast.”
The casting is secondary, in Suri’s opinion. “Content is the star. The budget of a film has to emerge from what the script demands and has to be in sync with the canvas the director wants to convey,” he explains, while continuing, “It feels nice to work with people who want to work with you. Big stars need big banners. Small banners can’t afford such luxury. With a viable budget, the risk is minimised. The entire food chain makes money in the process.”
As more and more ‘low’ deals fall into the lap of lesser-known stars, Richa Chadda, who debuted with Oye Lucky! feels, “The lesser-known are hungry to perform.
