Labour MPs largely dont like Lord Mandelson - antisemitism being one of many reasons why they detest him. His upper class demeanour and his new Labour politics, though, rile them most of all.
Some unknown Parliamentary Private Secretary, McGivern by name, has resigned over the post office part-privatisation that was lamented on these pages.
Ministers generally do not resign due to their big salaries and high-flying lifestyle, which as former binmen or barristers from a Labour rotten borough they are unaccustomed to.
Good on you, McGivern, but there will be plenty more Mandy does that youll disagree with - so better to go now.

Recommended Movies - A Walk To Remember although essentially her movies have been aimed at younger audiences (and in the case of this movie the teen crowd) this movie is actually very good and definitely would be considered a chic flick. Keep the tissues out for this one because it is beyond a doubt a tear jerker! Mandy Moore plays a preachers daughter, she dresses modestly and essentially keeps to herself. Until a guy in high school notices her. However Mandy Moores character is actually keeping a deep secret of herself! I personally love the scene where they are in highschool play and Mandy Moore gets to use that beautiful voice of hers! American Dreamz This film to me was hilarious and one of the rare films I actually also like Hugh grant in. Its a satire which pushes its familiarity with American Idol. The contestants especially Mandy Moores character really kept me going and I love how she plays such a stuck up little witch but more on a adult level than her bratty character in the Princess Diaries.

Weght loss total control - Steve and Mandy

  • Dec. 10th, 2008 at 6:05 AM
As Steve was in Vegas for the week, Mandy had to hold down the fort. This meant Mandy had to deal with many things Steve normally handles. One of the most obvious of these is the animals. Steve normally walks Leo before getting his shower in the morning. He also gives both Leo and SmokeyJoe food and water. It is not to say that Mandy took Steve for granted, however, she did not fully appreciate how much Steve actually did! The most difficult job Mandy had to inherit in Steves absence was cleaning up after Leo. She cant really handle it. So, she didnt. Mandy took Leo to more obscure places and let Leo do his business. No one really uses these areas anyway, so its ok right???!!!

It was apparent that everyone really missed Steve while he was in Vegas. No one seemed quite themselves without him. Despite Mandys attempts, it was clear nothing was the same without Steve. For example, Mandy would walk Leo in the morning before work, and upon returning to the apartment, would put the leash away and continue about her routine. Poor Leo would just sit by the door solemnly, like he was waiting for something more. It was only after talking to Steve that Mandy realized Steve ends every walk with a dog treat! Poor dog! Mandy and Aniah were certainly not themselves either without Steve. The conclusion of this week is that Steve is no longer allowed to leave us ever again.

Monday was Mandys first night alone. We had not planned on having Aniah, but Stephanie fell ill that night and so we decided to give her the night off. Things have been really crazy at Mandys work, requiring her to work a lot at home in the evenings. In an attempt to keep Aniah occupied while she worked, Mandy bought a small doll house for Aniah. The doll house did not seem like very much; just the house and some small horses and accessories. It was Mandys hope that this would keep Aniah busy for a couple of hours while she worked. Mandy gave the doll house to her on Monday and she played with it constantly for the next five days! The rest of the week flew by. Mandy had to work from home every night of the week, and watch Aniah. Thankfully, Aniah was so good and patient. Most evenings consisted of eating dinner together and then playing with the dollhouse.

Friday was a very exciting day. One of Mandys co-workers, Caroline, had invited Mandy and Aniah to go shopping and out to dinner. We went to the local Salvation Army and bought winter clothes for Aniah. Steve would have been proud because all of the kids clothes were 50-75% off. After shopping we went to the McDonalds playplace and had burgers and fries. We stayed quite awhile and let Aniah play with some other kids that were there. Steves flight was to arrive at 12:00 am, so Mandy and Aniah had quite a lot of time to kill. They decided to go over to Carolines house and decorate her Christmas tree. Aniah had such a wonderful time. And only a few ornaments lost their lives. We even made a HUGE welcome back sign for Papa.
Steve had a good week at the conference and brought back some good information for work. Most of the time was spent either attending the conference or in the hotel room. Getting used to the 3 hour time difference wasnt fun, but made for early nights in Vegas. The week flew by and Steve was ready to be home.

On Saturday, we got back into the swing of things with hitting the waters in our kayak, biking, and walking. We started off taking Leo to the dog park. Lots of dogs as usual. Then, we loaded up the kayak and headed to Lake Baldwin. We paddled to the other side of the lake and then just sat there. We enjoyed the rolling waves and the quiet. We coasted for several minutes and even closed our eyes for part of it. Falling asleep would have been very easy. As we approached the banks of the lake, we figured we should get paddling again. Close to shore on this side of the lake is where the alligators supposedly are. Steve hoped to see one, but we didnt want to get the kayak stuck on the shore. Otherwise, one of us would have to get out of the kayak to get us loose and neither of us wanted that! We cant believe that its December 6th and here we are in shorts and a t-shirt kayaking on a lake in Florida. We even had to use sunscreen!

At the end of the day, Adolfo dropped Aniah off. We biked down to the lake where Aniah enjoyed playing. Steve walked up to the CVS to get some deals, while Mandy and Aniah played at the lake. On the way back, we played in another area where there is a small waterfall and a grassy area. Steve dunked Aniah (only up to her knees) in the pool where the waterfall emptied into and we all ran around the grassy area. The downtown area of Baldwin Park is decorated very nicely. All of the palm trees have lights on them and there are lit snowflakes in the leaves of the trees. The area is just beautiful. We meant to get a picture of the area, but didnt have time. Well head back sometime this week and add it to the blog. It was a great ending to a wonderful day.

Sunday, Aniah let us sleep until 9am. Normally, shes up by 7:30 or 8am and ready to go. We had breakfast and Steve read the newspaper (and cut coupons). We rode our bike to church and then hit CVS on the way back. Its nearly a 6 mile roundtrip bike ride when we go to church and then to CVS. Were back to our target daily bike riding distance. Once back at the apartment, we dropped Aniah off at her home and proceeded to get ready for our Christmas open house at the presidents house. The College president has all faculty and staff over for Christmas and it was a lovely time. We spent some time with co-workers and enjoyed meeting new people. Before we knew it, the time was up. We were there for nearly 2 hours.

Next we headed to Walgreens and the grocery store to round out our shopping. Once back at the apartment, we did some clean up around the apartment and did some work. Were getting ready for a busy couple of weeks, but we cant wait for the upcoming vacation and to see family.

One of Mandys friends heard how all of our Christmas decorations are back in Indianapolis and that our apartment is bare (not counting the Adirondack chairs, wooden picnic table, folding table, and kayak), so she gave us a 4 foot fiber-optic Christmas tree . Its just what we needed. We placed it on top of a blender box, so all we need is a white snow skirt to cover it. Then, the area will be set. Well look for one this week and then we can wrap some of Aniahs Christmas presents. Shell love it! We enjoy playing Christmas songs while having the screen open and letting the warm air into the apartment!

Hopefully, next week well take the kayak to the ocean. We havent checked the weather yet, but if its going to stay nice, we want to try kayaking with the dolphins and the manatees again. This time, we can stay as long as want in the area versus being with a group. Well see how the week progresses and if we can do this. It would be a lot of fun for sure.

Have a wonderful week and stay warm.
