Sometimes I feel like people see my mistakes and they are afraid of me. Afraid of trusting me. Does anyone I know life this life as if God is watching them?
I live that way and I feel like it makes me a better person, but I never thought of my family watching me. If my family that's alive is watching me like a hawk what do you think the chances that my grandfather just gave up on me?
Is that what heaven is? Just sitting back and relaxing and doing whatever you want to keep up the act?

Lauryn Hill is a good singer who got kicked aside from the Fugees when she went to investigate what they sing about.... Zion. Wyclef John started talking shit on her saying that she was a crack-head, and I feel like that's what it's like with everyone.
Everyone has to make excuses for me and I'm so sick of feeling like everyone is just out to get me. Jesus complex just means that you understand and you're under the impression that other people don't understand. It just takes time to realize that everyone else understands too, but they understand in their own way. In their own world, different than mine, it IS different. So I'd better stop preaching my word because nobody wants to hear the world is different than they think.

One of the most talented women in music (in my opinion).
The album The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill was phenomenal and paved the way to inspire many artists to this very day. When this album was released it set the bar for other artists to up thier game. Here we have a beautiful artist who sings AND raps, has great star quality and speaks pure sense. Lauryn brought a sound that was unique which mixed reggae and doo wop 60's era harmonies with a fresh flow that could challenge even the illest MC.
Unfortunately her second album didn't so well as she was dealing with her own personal issues spiritually and emotionally. It was a little too deep for many to appreciate and so that album flopped on many levels.
All we can do is give praise where praise is due. This video was and still is one of my favourite video's. Fresh and Innovative, the video actually matches the lyrics and tone of the song. Because her lyrics are so profound on this track I can't quote just one part.

Knowing Howard he went back to his own charming self telling Lauryn that she is beautiful and she has a great body and he wants her. End of the story.
